Recently went to my local goodwill and they had 10 boxes of titleist proV1s that were brand new in box for $8 a box. Probably the best find I have ever had and they had 12 boxes of callaway HX tour 56s that were brand new for $5 a box. The golf gods have shined upon me today!!

Nice, a solid score regardless but got me thinking about what a 20 year old ball compares to now. Even if these perform like a lower end ball nowadays it’s a great price.

Should last you the weekend hardy harr harr!!!!

I mean you can buy lost pro v1’s on Facebook marketplace for a few dollars more a dozen and they are a few years old

  4. You’d be better off playing used Kirklands than 20 year old pro-v1s

Odd they labeled them “toys and games” instead of sporting goods. Id play them bro. I get notifications from eBay when a certain Wilson ball they quit making in the 90s gets listed. Ive got 3 dozen in my closet and I play them in shootouts with money on line.

Super cool find. Those are from 2005. I’m curious how they compare to modern golf balls.

My GW has a sleeve of 25yo rock flites for $5… not even a tall boy! Just a three pack!

I’d be cautious about using these balls.

I bought new old stock Callaway balls from a thrift store a few months ago. Turns out they were 18-year-old balls. First hole, 421 yards. The ball travels similarly to other balls I’ve used. 4 hybrid from the edge of the fairway into the bunker. 56° onto the green. When I picked up the ball to realign it, it looked like it had been hit onto the street. Major scratches on three different spots. After the hole, I switch to another ball. Same thing. The coating was shot.

Save them. In 20 years they’ll be a collectors item.

He’s gonna open those and find out they are ProVeeJuans!

Then you notice REFURBISHED stamped on the side.

Makes hitting them in the water a little less painful at that price

  15. Pro Vs can be actually bad for a player of your handicap

  16. Pro V1s are just bad luck for me. I could be killing it all day, put a PV1 down and hook it two holes over into water. They’re amazingly good at finding water

The problem with PV1s is that they do exactly what you make them do, and I can’t handle that
